Student Success and Retention Rates
Year after year, FMC’s academic success is shown through its consistently high National Board Scores combined with its retention and graduation rate.
According to the National Center for Educational Statistics*, the percentage of full-time students who began their studies in the Fall of 2015 and returned in the Fall of 2016 was 100%. The percentage of Full-time, First-time students who started in the fall of 2014 who graduated within 150% of “normal time” to completion was 100%.
Part of the FINE student’s academic success is due to its low student to faculty ratio. Over the last several years the ratio has averaged approximately 6 to 1.
Student success doesn’t end at graduation. With an FMC education, many alumni continue to flourish in the working world. Students are often employed by funeral homes and other businesses while they are earning their Associates Degree in Funeral Service with FMC.
Many students can hold full-time jobs due to the flexible class schedules. Each class meets only one time per week over the term, which provides students with more time for outside responsibilities.
FINE Mortuary College offers financial aid to eligible students. In the 2016-2017 academic year, 79% of students were awarded Federal student loans while 45% were awarded Federal Grants and/or Pell Grants.
