  6. Introduction to Social Science (3 credits)
  7. Issues and Concerns of a Modern Professional (3 credits)
  8. Reflections (3 credits)

Level 2 Classes – Available once credits for all prerequisite classes are completed

  1. Understanding the Human Body (3 credits) – Prerequisite Principles of Science
  2. Microbiology/Sanitation/Public Health (3 credits) – Prerequisite Introduction to Chemistry & Microbiology
  3. Embalming Chemistry (3 credits) – Prerequisite Introduction to Chemistry & Microbiology
  4. Essentials of Business (3 credits) – Prerequisite Business Basics
  5. Marketing & Merchandising (3 credits) – Prerequisite Funeral Directing and Funeral Profession
  6. Law & Ethics (3 credits) – Prerequisite Business Basics and Funeral Directing
  7. Psychology of Grief (3 credits) – Prerequisite Introduction to Social Science

Level 3 Classes – Available once credits for all prerequisite classes are completed

  1. Embalming (3 credits) – Prerequisite Understanding the Human Body and Embalming Chemistry
  2. Restorative Art (3 credits) – Prerequisite Understanding the Human Body
  3. Pathology (3 credits) – Prerequisite Understanding the Human Body and Microbiology/Sanitation/Public Health
  4. Clinical Cooperative 1 (5 credits) – Must have earned 51 credit hours and completed Embalming and Restorative Art
  5. Clinical Cooperative 2 (5 credits) – Must have successfully completed Clinical Cooperative 1
  6. Comprehensive Review (3 credits) – Must have completed all academic courses.  Can be taken with Clinical Cooperative 2 or Reflections or Issues and Concerns of a Modern Professional.

 

*Taking 9 credit hours per term is considered full-time.
**Associates of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service is 67 Credit hours
